Owner/President
Robert was raised in Petoskey and graduated from Public Schools of Petoskey. He married his wife
Nancy,in 1980,and they relocated to Atlanta, GA in order to pursue his career. In 1982 he began digging
ditches under the Georgia sun, and over the next four years completed his apprenticeship with Associated
Builders and Contractors. He went on to acquire his journeyman license, and master plumber license in
Georgia. Upon returning to his home state in 1989, he furthered his training and completed the exams for
a master plumber, mechanical, contractor and boiler installer licensed with the State of Michigan.
In 1994, Northwest Mechanical, Inc, opened it’s doors with one truck and Rob and Nancy as it’s only
employees. Over the last 30 years, we have relocated several times, but settled in Alanson, Michigan and
have flourished in this location for the last 11 years. Robert’s sons have been an integral part of this
growth. The next generation of McLellans are making great strides towards a strong and bright
future.
Having raised their three boys, Robert has been a volunteer at many levels of sports programs with his
sons. Robert also enjoys hunting, fishing and boating. Robert appreciates every opportunity to spend
time with his wife,sons and grandchildren.
